Pre Event Party
Giving everyone a chance to meet for the first time, Cannonball 8000, on the evening of Thursday 18th September, will welcome all to the pre event party at Ruby Blue in Leicester Square. This exclusive party will only be accessed by Cannonballers on the rally and a few selected VIPs and will give you the first flavour of the Cannonball 8000 experience. It is this night when you will get chance to mingle and meet the people you will spend the most exciting 72 hours of your life with! The television crew will be there to capture this moment, and to see if they can tempt you onto the casting couch for a few words before the rally even starts!
Cannonball 8000 Rally
Friday 19th September
120 cars leave the amazing location of Battersea Power Station this year. This unique location is somewhere you would not be able to get to if you were not part of Cannonball 8000. A truely iconic start for an iconic rally! The cars will drive to the coast; make the journey across the water and head towards Brussels, for a warm Cannonball 8000 welcome at the Conrad Hotel. A night of fine food and wine will be followed with some serious partying for all Cannonballers.
Saturday 20th September
Alll Cannonballers will leave and head towards the beautiful Cannes. With the Majestic Barriere being the destination hotel, you can be assured of a welcome fit for the stars. This is the main hotel for the Cannes Film Festival, so who knows who may have slept in your bed before you! With the sun shining and the drive for the day complete, everyone can settle in for a great night of more excellent food, wine and an amazing party on the beach. For those that make it early enough you maybe able to catch the last few rays of sun and top up the tan, the film crew would love the extra footage!
Sunday 21st September
With the sun streaming in your bedroom window, the final day of the Cannonball 8000 rally will see a wonderful start to a great day. Leaving Cannes at a pleasant time, everyone will head their way towards the amazing city of Rome, where the beautiful Exedra hotel will welcome Cannonball 8000 again. An amazing hotel in an amazing setting, nothing could be better for the final night. As in previous years, the Italians will guarantee a warm welcome at the finish line, where the team will be waiting with a cool drink for you to start you final evening of fine dining and partying. The only thing left to see, is who will still be up in the morning!
Awards Ball
This year the Awards Ball will be held on Saturday 27th September 2008 at the Intercontinental Park Lane Hotel. This is the largest venue Cannonball 8000 has used to date, because the popularity of this evening grows every year. This is the event where every Cannonballer is handed their exclusive Cannonball 8000 award as well as the main awards being presented. Details on the award categories, so those of you attending can prepare, can be found on the Drivers Profile page. If you would like to bring any guests with you then you can secure extra tickets at only £150 +vat per person, just give us a call.
